ROOM 4

Located on the first floor in the northeast end of the building, this room is named after the birdhouse and birdcage collection that it contains. It has an outdoor deck, which overlooks the pocket Japanese garden. It also has a huge capiz window, which looks out to a honeysuckle trellis. There is a connecting door to Room 3 for families who want to have adjoining rooms.
The collection of birdhouses and birdcages come from Paete and from gifts of friends. They form a miniature neighborhood on ledges that hover over the beds. The bedroom floor is concrete with an inlay of weathered railroad tracks. Please click the link to view the Room 4 gallery.
